The Bar Cart is one of our favorite accessories and we will be adding some really terrific ones to the site in the coming months! It’s a really useful piece of furniture that can be used in so many ways. The most obvious is for holding and displaying libations and glassware, however, it can also be used as a tea cart, for a buffet, as a small console table, end table or as extra drop space in your dining room. It can be styled with so much more than just booze and barware. Think of it as a mini portable bookshelf styled with books, baskets, plants and sculpture. It’s no wonder that these go anywhere, do anything trolleys are so popular right now.
The best thing about a bar cart is how easily it can be styled for the season or occasion. We started thinking about the time of year and the type of bar cart we want most right now. The holidays are over and winter is very much still here. It’s the time of year when you want to stay inside, curl up, build a fire and read a book. The unfortunate recent rise in COVID cases keeps us at home more than ever. So as we hunker down and settle in to winter we looked for some library inspiration to create a bar cart for the season.
Cheers and Soonest!

Start with a Cart! - There are so many great options available right now. We’ll be adding some to the site in the coming months so stay tuned!
Add a Tray - This one is fabulous because it’s made with Cowtan & Tout Rapallo fabric. It’s laminated too so spills wipe right up.
Keep a variety of Glassware - These monogrammed double old fashioned glasses and stemless wine glasses add style and sophistication.
Add interest with Decanters - Sure you can just corral the bottles on the cart, but why not make your favorite wine or spirit a little more special with a crystal wine decanter or globe liquor decanter.
Have plenty of Ice - An ice bucket is essential and this faux mahogany croc one keeps your ice cold for 3 hours!
Basic Barware is a must - Based on what you like to drink and serve, think about the accessories you will need to keep handy. For the mixologist it may be a cocktail shaker and strainer while for the vinoteca vibe a simple corkscrew may do. Either way make sure to have what you need at the ready and remember the cocktail napkins too!
Something Living or Organic - This is our number one must for any room or space. We are living beings and need to have living organic things around us. Add something living, green or organic to your bar cart such as a small plant, preserved boxwood or bowl of lemons for the final touch.
